Espanyol supremo: No Real Madrid offer for De la Pena

Espanyol supremo Daniel Sanchez Llibre has moved quickly to deny press talk of a bid arriving from Real Madrid for midfielder Ivan de la Pena.

"There is no De la Pena case because Madrid has not made any offer," he said. "It is information that was published in ABC, but I do not have any official word."

"I believe that De la Pena will play in Espanyol because he has reached an agreement and if he renewed his contract, it is because he wants to play for us."
