Espanyol's De La Pena: We can beat Real Madrid

Espanyol midfielder Ivan de la Pena says his team are confident of upsetting Real Madrid this weekend.

The former Barcelona favourite says Espanyol are full of confidence after their excellent start to the season and revealed: "We feel we are now more difficult to beat. With hard work and dedication, we're confident of beating Real Madrid."

"They have been criticised for their opening two games - though they have won them. They have the quality to decide any game. But we're go into the match very confident of a result."

"We know with hard work we can beat Real Madrid. But we also know our limitations. There is no overconfidence, we know what we must do to achieve good results - work hard over 90 minutes."
