Emerson raps Real Madrid teammates: Complain to my face!

Real Madrid are touting midfielder Emerson to Italian clubs.

Yesterday, the Brazilian insisted he was prepared to stay and fight for his place at Real: "I have two years left on my contract and I can't think about leaving now when we have the chance of winning the championship. I have two months to work hard and get over the problems I've experienced this season."

Asked about reports that Real's senior players were upset that he was selected ahead of Guti for their Champions League tie with Bayern Munich, Emerson snapped: "If they have a problem with me, they should say so. If they are men, they should tell me to my face."

"They are my teammates who see me every day. I did not hear about it, which is why I cannot comment on it. If we are teammates, we can say things to our face. If we want to be a team, as they all say now, we must speak face-to-face."
