Emerson further isolated at Real Madrid

Emerson has further isolated himself from the Real Madrid dressing room after Wednesday night's performance at Bayern Munich.

Real's players couldn't believe that Emerson was given a start in Munich after he stood down from the Liga clash with Getafe last weekend and also refused to warm-up in the home-leg of their Champions League tie with Bayern.

Asked about Emerson's situation, Raul refused to deny that the Brazilian's selection had upset some players: "The coach has a group of players from which he must select his team. We all want to play, but there are people in charge, as much as the coach as the technical staff, who make these decisions.

"You just have to accept it."
