Emerson ducks Real Madrid's Getafe clash

Emerson has reportedly chosen to stand down for Real Madrid's match against Getafe today.

Marca says the Brazilian has asked not to be considered for selection due to the barracking he has been the subject by the Santiago Bernabeu crowd.

Emerson trained well during the week, but on Friday met with coach Fabio Capello behind closed doors and claimed he didn't feel fully fit and asked to not be considered for Sunday's game.
