Emerson determined to win over Real Madrid boo-boys

Emerson insists he will fight to win over Real Madrid's boo-boys after playing in last night's 2-1 win at Celta Vigo.

The Brazilian midfielder returned to the first team for the away game, with talk persisting that coach Fabio Capello won't field him at Real's Santiago Bernabeu because of the way he is treated by home fans.

After last night's win, Emerson said: "We have taken advantage of our chances better than Celta. We know that it does not depend only on us to win the Liga."

"I always work to help the team; today I had the possibility of playing minutes and we have won the game, I am very pleased. I must focus on my work, I always want to do my best."

"The fans that boo will not stop me. We know that now we need the support of everyone and we will do everything to see if we can win the title."

"I still have two years on my contract: it would be a sin to leave a team which everybody dreams of playing for."
