Drenthe battling for more Real Madrid action

Royston Drenthe was happy to get 90 minutes under his belt for Real Madrid in last night's 1-1 Copa del Rey draw at Alicante.

The young Dutch wing-back was at fault for Alicante's penalty and said afterwards: "I would like to be able to play more for Real Madrid, like anyone, but I must take advantage of the opportunities that I have and continue working in training.

"I must learn from players like Raul and Ruud van Nistelrooy so that when my opportunity arrives I can make the most of it."
