Dorado accepts Sporting loan deal

Real Madrid left-back Javier Dorado is to join Second Division outfit Sporting Gijon on loan until the end of the season.

The Asturians contacted Real Madrid last week to hire the services of 24-year-old Dorado, who had been told that he does not figure in coach Vicente Del Bosque's plans this year.

Sporting chief Pepe Acebal sees Dorado as the perfect alternative to the team's only other left-sided defender, Borja Sanchez, who still only has a year's experience in the first team after being drafted in last year from the reserves.

Dorado, whose contract with Real expires next June, spent last year in La Segunda on loan to Salamanca.
