Diskcrash on www.realmadrid.dk server
We suffered a diskcrash on our database server thursday afternoon. Read the complete article, to find out what it will mean for the site.
Database & Backup
Our database gets backuped up from time to time, but unfortunately the backups where damaged. So we had to dig deep into the past, to get a good backup set :-(
That means it is about 6 months old backup. We have lost news articles this period in between.
Were now starting to get back on track again, but there are a lot of things to configure and install before we running 100% again. But were getting there.
To prevent this in the future we have installed a mirrorraid to help us be more faulttolerent. And we are securing a more reliable backup.
Newsletter
Because we have lost a big part of our subscribers, we will ask all of you that have submitted your email to our newslist in the past 6 months, to submit it again.
We currently not ready to send out newsletters. But we hope to get it up and running in the week that comes.
We are very sorry about this crash, but that kind of things seems to happen from time to time :-( and this time it was our server that draw the shortets straw.
