Di Maria agent in Spain for Real Madrid talks

Benfica winger Angel di Maria is most likely to be Jose Mourinho's first signing as Real Madrid coach.

Mourinho was asked yesterday about signing the Argentina international, but refused to neither confirm nor deny his interest.

However, AS says Di Maria’s agent, Jorge Mendes, who also represents Mourinho, arrived in Madrid yesterday for transfer talks with Real directors.

Mendes met with Real sports chief Jorge Valdano at the Santiago Bernabeu at 12:33pm yesterday, with the meeting not wrapping up until 13:42pm before Mendes sped off in a car without talking to reporters.
