Del Bosque Will Only Stay At Real If He Is Wanted

Real Madrid coach Vicente Del Bosque has told the Spanish press that he only wants to stay if the club genuinely want to keep him.

The Merengues have delayed talks over extending his current contract which runs out in June.

"I want them to be happy with me and if they are not, the logical thing would be for them to get a new coach," he told Diario AS.

He also touched on conversations between himself and Director of Sport Jorge Valdano.

"We speak about the team and we last talked a month ago," he said.

"He told me my contract renewal was almost completed, and I said we'll talk about it in the future."

"The club are the ones who decide the time frame; it's a complicated matter, but I say the club has to control it and not make mistakes."
