Del Bosque will not rush Ronaldo run-out

Real Madrid boss Vicente del Bosque claims he is in no hurry to debut star attraction Ronaldo. The Brazilian has played but one half of football since his World Cup show.

"He is a player who has been signed for various years and not for the day of his debut," said Del Bosque. "We're going to keep calm in this respect and I don't even want to talk about dates."

Scuttlebutt has the gaffer targeting either a Matchday 2 Champions’ League contest against Belgian club Genk (September 25th) or the following La Liga date appointment with Valladolid (September 28th).

Del Bosque did profess that no personality conflicts existed with Ronaldo at the Bernabeu as they did at San Siro.

"He's very nice and he's really keen to adapt as quickly as possible," he reported. "It seems as if he's been here longer than he actually has - He's a happy guy."

Real head physician Alfonso del Corral played down fears that Ronaldo’s troublesome knee would lower his value to the club.

"When I was told about the signing I was worried," admitted the doctor to Spanish newspaper Marca. "Those fears were reduced, though, after examining the knee."

"Ronaldo won't be the same as he was before; He's going to make fantastic moves and he'll be able to play 40 to 50 games a season, but I'm sure he'll suffer small injuries that will keep him out for a week or 10 days."
