Real adrid coach Vicente Del Bosque has targetted Deportivo defender Manuel Pablo to take over from Michel Salgado at right-back next season.
The 25-year-old international is one of the top defenders in the country but has a buy-out clause in his Depor contract of £37million ($US 53m).
But sources close to Depor's headquarters in La Coruna have hinted club chairman Augusto Cesar Lendoiro would be willing to listen to offers upwards of £11million (US$ 15.7m) for the player - a similar price to the one Inter Milan are asking for Javier Zanetti.
Manuel Pablo has been in action on the pitch more than any other player in La Liga. He has only missed 90 minutes of football all season and that was when he was forced to serve a one match ban last month.
