Del Bosque refusing to panic

Real Madrid coach Vicente del Bosque is refusing to panic despite slipping ten points behind La Liga leaders Deportivo La Coruna with Sunday's home draw to Celta Vigo.

"There´s still a long way to go," said Del Bosque after the 1-1 result. "But we have 29 matches left and ten points is not an enormous difference."

The Spanish champions were booed off the field as their failure to beat Celta left Del Bosque presiding over Real's worst ever start to a league campaign.

"I still can´t find the reason why we play in a different way in the Champions' League to La Liga," the Real boss conceded.

Del Bosque felt the wrath of the Bernabeu after bringing off Zinedine Zidane but he defended the decision. "I needed another player to back Makelele and McManaman in defence," said the Real coach.

Celta coach Victor Fernandez was content as his side defended their unbeaten record but added: "Real Madrid have all the options to win the title again."
