Del Bosque: Real Madrid triumph perfect in Centenary Year

After seeing his team win last night's Toyota Cup, Real Madrid trainer Vicente del Bosque says he was "happy" to win a third trophy in the club's Centenary Year.

Real defeated Paraguay's Olimpia 2-0 to be crowned world club champions thanks to goals from man-of-the-match Ronaldo and Jose Guti.

"I am happy and contented because with the Intercontinental we have managed to win three titles in the year of the Centenary, the most important year for Real Madrid," a delighted Del Bosque said.

"It is correct that the most famous players have played for Real tonight, but a team is made up of many and not only of four or five stars."

"Now, we hope that the good form of the team is transformed into victories after the bad league season we have so far had."

"I see the future with optimism and I hope that we recover to the level which we played in the first 11 games of the season."
