Del Bosque opens talks with Real Madrid over new deal

Real Madrid trainer Vicente del Bosque has had his representative meet with club officials about a new contract for next season.

Real have insisted publicly that all contract negotiations will not begin until the end of the season.

However, Pedro de Felipe will speak with Real sports chief Jorge Valdano in the coming weeks about Del Bosque's deal.

In the past, Del Bosque has negotiated his own contracts, but he explained: "It isn't necessary to see anything strange in this."

"It is a personal decision because I prefer that a person specialized in contracts defends my interests and those of my family."

"Times have changed and it's normal that another person can represent me or a company."
