Real Madrid trainer Vicente del Bosque insisted his players had fought to the end in their disappointing 0-0 draw at Recreativo Huelva yesterday.
The result surrendered the La Liga leadership to Deportivo La Coruna and Del Bosque said: "We fought to the end, but we didn't have the luck in front of goal."
"In truth, we didn't have many chances and didn't find any form in attack. We weren't particularly superior to Recreativo, who gave us a lot of problems."
Del Bosque added, "I had to think about the Champions League and that's why I rested some players. We have added a point and continue to fight for the title."
