Del Bosque happy as Real Madrid draw at Valladolid

Real Madrid trainer Vicente del Bosque refused to be drawn into commenting on Michel Salgado's red card in yesterday's 1-1 draw at Real Valladolid.

The Spanish international fullback was sent-off for his second yellow card seven minutes before half-time and Del Bosque says even with 10-men, his Real team were the only one that looked likely to win the game.

"With a man less we have delivered a great attacking performance," he said. "But Valladolid fell back well and narrowed the field at every moment and that has made it a difficult game for us."

Raul put Real ahead before a Nicolas Oliveira penalty on the hour secured a point for the hosts.

Valladolid trainer Jose More said, "I am very pleased because we have completed a good game, we have defended well and I must congratulate my players because we have played a very good game."
