Del Bosque full of praise after win

Vicente del Bosque praised Real's performance against Lokomotiv Moscow as they ran-out 4-0 winners, despite not having their regular strikers.

After the Champions League Group A mauling, del Bosque was keen to stress the virtues of his own team rather than the shortcomings of their rivals, while his opposite number Yuri Semin congratulated the Spaniards on their performance.

Del Bosque said: "They defended well until the first goal, but we took control after that. Tonight we scored four goals without either of our regular centre-forwards."

Lokomotiv coach Semin admitted that Real were superior, reserving special praise for Roberto Carlos and Raul Gonzalez. He added that the turning point of the match was the 64th-minute penalty which made it 2-0 and also had a psychological effect on his young team.
