Del Bosque bristles at crisis talk: Real Madrid are just out of touch

Vicente del Bosque again rejected calls that Real Madrid are in crisis after last night's 1-0 loss at home against AS Roma.

Francesco Totti grabbed the winner for the Italians on 27 minutes, after Vincenzo Montella's strike was blocked inside the Real area.

The European champs dominated the game, but couldn't break down Fabio Capello's packed defence.

Del Bosque said: "It's wrong to be speaking of a crisis. A crisis is something for Barcelona, that has been three years without winning a title, or Bayern, that is now eliminated from Europe."

"Crisis is when the Bernabeu is not sold out and I do not believe that this club is in a period of crisis."

Del Bosque, however, accepts Real are struggling for form.

He added, "It isn't easy finding a solution for this poor form. But I am not a man for big changes and will approach this situation with common sense."

Real keeper Iker Casillas also bristled at the suggestion of a Real crisis.

"I am not going to say that we are in crisis, because I believe that we aren't. We have qualified for the second round of the Champions League, are in the King's Cup and just a few points off the leaders in the La Liga," he insisted.
