Del Bosque backs Real Madrid for title

Vicente del Bosque is backing Real Madrid to see off Barcelona's late surge and clinch the title this season.

The former Real coach said: "There is an important current of optimism that surrounds Madrid. I always hope for the best thing for the club - and that happens to be winning the Liga this season."

"Madrid is the favorite because it is first, but they must maintain the intensity. In order to reach the top the optimism that exists in the group and among the fans has been fundamental."
