Del Bosque admits Real faults

Vicente Del Bosque has blamed the breakdown of Real's defence for the champions' 4-2 defeat to a youthful Las Palmas side last night.

Del Bosque said: "We lost the game firstly because Las Palmas played with great enthusiasm and secondly because our defence broke down and we didn't know how to deal with the situation calmly."

"But it's just one more game in a long season and on Saturday we'll have another chance to redeem ourselves."

Real came from behind twice with strikes from Pedro Munitis and Zinedine Zidane but starlet Ruben Castro had the final say, netting two superb goals late on to hand Las Palmas the three points.

Del Bosque stressed that he would be examining the errors committed in the game to ensure that they don't happen again.

"We'll be taking a good, hard look at all of the negative points during this game and taking measures to rectify them," he added.

The Madrid chief also responded to a query that his team always seem to hit a low point in the second half of their matches.

"During the first half we played a strong game and were able to overcome difficult moments, but in the second half we were a man short and Las Palmas were much more assertive - that's why we lost," he ended.
