Decimated Dortmund Turn To Flavio

According to the latest reports out of Germany, Borussia Dortmund are preparing a bid for Real Madrid's superfluous Brazilian midfielder Flavio Conceicao.

The Yellow-and-Blacks are short on midfield options as a result of the serious injuries sustained by Frings and Evanilson last week, so Matthias Sammer is intent on spending the money from the expected sale of Jens Lehmann to Arsenal on last-minute reinforcements.

The 29-year-old Conceicao, who is also coveted by Middlesbrough, is suspected to have become surplus to demands at the Bernabeu following the high-profile arrival of David Beckham.
