De Wilde slams Anderlecht team-mates

Anderlecht goalkeeper Filip de Wilde slammed his team's second-half capitulation against Madrid on Wednesday night.

The Belgian champions returned to Brussels on Thursday morning, after Wednesday’s Champions League match against Real.

With most people in the Anderlecht camp saying Anderlecht were beaten by a superior side, de Wilde has blasted the performance of the team as a whole and was left reeling after his hard work went un-rewarded.

De Wilde said: "I don't understand how we can feel satisfied with this match. Okay, maybe we had reasons to be satisfied at half time when we were leading 1-0. But even then, we had already conceded open chances to Madrid. And Real hadn't even set a high pace then!"

"Things took a turn for the worse in the second half. The way we conceded those goals is inexcusable. Four times I was confronted with an isolated player in front of me! That says a lot about our positional play!"
