De La Red retires to take Real Madrid coaching role

Ruben de la Red has officially hung up the boots.

The former Real Madrid midfielder has been out of action since collapsing in a Copa tie last season.

De la Red has accepted an offer from Real to take up a coaching position with the Real Madrid Castilla.
