Cruizero president warns Real Madrid over Luxemburgo

Cruzeiro president Alvimar Perrella says there is no way he would again hire former coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

The Real Madrid trainer is underfire in Spain after two consecutive defeats and Perrella rubbed salt into the wounds yesterday back in Brazil when stating: "I don't regret sacking Luxemburgo, no matter that he has gone on to coach Real Madrid."

"Luxemburgo lacked respect for his superiors and did not understand the natural hierarchy of the club. This created many difficulties."

Luxemburgo led Cruzeiro to the Brazilian championship in 2003, but Perrella added: "His record as a coach was the best we have seen. But the lack of respect he showed everyone was too high a price to pay."

"If he became available again, I would not hire him."
