Crocked Woodgate: I want Real Madrid fans to be proud of me

Crocked Real Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate is determined not to be regarded as a failed signing after last week's injury setback.

"During these months I was working hard and feeling very well. Now, after this misfortune I will do all that's possible to be available for the trainer and my teammates. I want that our fans feel proud of me," said Woodgate yesterday.

"I feel good at this club. Everyone, the staff and the players, were quick to ask if I was okay after my mishap last week."

"I know that the dream to wear this requires a concerted effort."
