Ronaldo was restricted to the role of spectator for the 2-1 defeat to Sevilla on Sunday night having picked up an ankle injury in the midweek UEFA Champions League win over Marseille.
"I saw the game with my family and I suffered a lot. In the end, I was very saddened by the defeat," he told AS after linking up with Portugal for their two remaining World Cup qualifiers against Hungary and Malta.
The Portuguese winger added that the Real Madrid supporters should be aware that the team will work hard to make amends for the defeat when league duties resume for Los Blancos against Real Vaslladolid in a fortnight.
"The fans should know that we will continue to work to try and win every game. We will not give up because we lost to Sevilla."
