Corinthians attempted to reunite Ronaldo with ex-Real Madrid pal Zidane

Corinthians admit they have attempted to reunite Ronaldo with his former Real Madrid teammate Zinedine Zidane this season.

"Zidane is an impossible dream, as was Ronaldo. I think it is difficult to have two impossible dreams occur in the same year," said Corinthians director Mario Gobbi today.

Corinthians are still seeking a major sponsor and have been linked with French giants Carrefour. It was hoped that the signing of Ronaldo - and the potential arrival of Zizou - would assist their search.
