Real Madrid, Barcelona and Deportuvo La Coruna all made it through to the next round of the Copa del Rey.

Real got past S.S.Reyes thanks to goals from Raul, Javier Portillo and Esteban Cambiasso, while Barcelona beat Atletico Gramanet courtesy of a late Ronaldinho strike.

Diego Tristan also scored late on as Deportivo beat Compostela 1-0.

Valencia's game against Castellon was suspended seven minutes from time after the referee was hit in the eye with an object from the crowd after awarding a penalty to the Ches. The game was tied at 1-1 after Ruben Baraja had equalised a Marcos strike.

Elsewhere, Athletic Bilbao were shocked 2-1 by Gimnastic, while Villarreal beat Alicante 2-1.
