Copa Del Rey: Barcelona Draw Sevilla, Real Madrid To Face Mallorca

The next two rounds of the Copa del Rey have been drawn, with only Primera Liga teams remaining. Of the big guns, Barcelona will meet Sevilla, while Real Madrid must overcome Real Mallorca.

Copa del Rey holders Sevilla must overcome Barcelona to reach the quarter-finals of Spain's premier knockout competition.

Sixteen teams - all from the Primera - advanced this week from the 1/16th round, with the draw taking place at noon local time on Friday.

Both the 1/8 and 1/4 final rounds were drawn simultaneously, with some intriguing ties appearing in both rounds.

Real Madrid must overcome Real Mallorca, while struggling Real Zaragoza need to pick up a first leg advantage if they're to have a reasonable change of progressing past Racing Santander.

2007's losing finalists Getafe have the plum draw of Levante in the 1/8th round, but even if they do make it through, they must then face the Madrid/Mallorca tie winner.

Both Barcelona and Real Madrid will enjoy the advantage of playing their home leg second in each round.
