Congo chase hots up

Zaragoza and Tenerife have both made enquiries about Real's striker Edwin Congo, who looks set to leave the club.

Zaragoza chief Txetxu Rojo sees Congo as the ideal man to replace the recent signing from Red Star Belgrade, Goran Drulic, who was injured just eight days after joining his new club.

Likewise, Tenerife's Pepe Mel has his eyes on Congo for the Canarios' return to La Primera.

But both clubs could face disappointment in their pursuit as Real would rather that he went to a foreign club and not to their competition in Spain.

However, Real's hand could be played by the fact that only ten days are left until the squad lists are submitted for La Liga.

With this situation, Real's other unwanted players, namely Elvir Baljic and Alberto Rivera, could also be looking at swift exits from the Bernabeu.
