Coentrao makes Real Madrid transfer request

Fabio Coentrao has submitted a transfer request to Real Madrid.

Coentrao was left out of Carlo Ancelotti's squad for their La Liga opener against Real Betis on Sunday, with the Italian boss revealing 'he has asked to leave'.

The Portugal fullback has been linked with Tottenham and Chelsea.
