Group C.

Panathinaikos and FC Porto didn't manage to score in their 0-0 match. Real got of to a flying start with a 3-2 victory in Czech Republic.

Group D.

Deportivo La Coruna won on home turf 2-0 against Arsenal. The match between Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen was postponed because of fog. The match will be played 28/11-2001.
