Cicinho pleads for patience from Real Madrid fans

Real Madrid fullback Cicinho has pleaded for patience from fans after last week's defeat at Lyon.

Cicinho said: "I want to ask them (the fans) to be patient and to have faith in us because the season has just started."

"The best matches will soon come. I want to ask them to stay calm because we are going to improve a lot."

Recently-elected Real president Ramon Calderon is hopeful the team's teething problems are only temporary.

"We have just started. We have five new players and a new coach, so the team needs time to connect," he said.
