Chivu Denies Having Signed Pre-Contract Agreement With Real

Ajax's Romanian defender Cristian Chivu has denied reports he has signed a pre-contract agreement with Real Madrid.

The Dutch club have long been resigned to losing their superstar one of the biggest clubs in Europe either in January, or at the end of the season.

He said: "I have signed no pre-contract agreement with Real or with any other side."

Real, who have always been favourites to land Chivu may lose out to their bitter rivals Barcelona, as the player added: "Next summer I could still move to a number of clubs and that includes Barcelona because they are one of the biggest in the world."
