Chelsea to close £8.5M deal for Real Madrid's Geremi

Chelsea will close a deal for Real Madrid midfielder Geremi inside the next 48 hours.

The Blues are confident a £8.5 million bid will net the Cameroon international, who played last season on-loan with Middlesbrough.

Geremi's representatives and Real officials were in talks with Chelsea yesterday, with agreement almost settled on dropping Real's asking price from £11 million down to £8.5 million.
