Chelsea threaten to rip heart out of Real Madrid

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich's spending power is threatening to rip the heart out of Real Madrid's team.

The Sun says the Russian billionaire is interested in signing Real Madrid heroes Ronaldo, Luis Figo and Roberto Carlos.

All three players have had offers put to them by intermediaries.

Brazilian left-back Roberto Carlos would earn £78,000-a-week compared to £45,000 at Real Madrid and Portuguese winger Figo £200,000, compared to his current £100,000 if he signed.

The biggest offer is for ace striker Ronaldo - a massive £230,000-a-week to join Chelsea in the summer.

It's understood Real chiefs have already told Roberto Carlos he can go if Chelsea match his buyout clause - which is £60 million.
