Chelsea target Joaquin drops new Real Madrid hint

Real Betis winger Joaquin declared only hours before last night's match that he wanted to play for Real Madrid.

The Spanish international admitted: "I dream about playing for a great team like Real Madrid, the best team in the world, and playing in the Champions League."

"But not only Real Madrid, there are many great clubs in Europe. But in Spain, it can only be Real Madrid."

"(Betis president Manuel Ruiz) De Lopera will decide if I stay or go. If he decides to sell me at the end of this season, then we will sit down and discuss what is the best option for both the club and myself."

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho declared an interest in Joaquin last month, insisting they were ready to bid for the youngster in the summer.
