Chelsea still in frame for Real Madrid target Robinho

Chelsea haven't given up on trumping Real Madrid for Santos super-kid Robinho.

The Blues came close to clinching Robinho's signing last month, where they intended to loan him to satellite club PSV Eindhoven for a season while he gained an EU passport.

However, Real Madrid's interest has moved the goalposts, with the Spanish giants ready to land Robinho in January after two weeks of intense negotiations.

Chelsea will seek to out-bid their European rivals, but Robinho is known to favour a move to Real, where he is good pals with Ronaldo.
