Chelsea's Terry eyes Beckham captaincy

Chelsea skipper John Terry has his eyes on England captain David Beckham's armband.

He said: "I need to keep working, keep training well and playing well for Chelsea when Mr Eriksson's at the games."

"I have the qualities to be England captain. At club level I've stepped up to being captain and feel very privileged to be so."

"My team-mates speak well of me and I try to be a leader around the place and help out the lads. If someone needs to get told then I do it, no matter who they are."
