Chelsea's Lampard aware of Real Madrid interest

Real Madrid's interest in Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has reached England management.

Real president Florentino Perez is aware of Lampard's stalled negotiations with Chelsea over a new contract and is prepared to bring the England ace to the Santiago Bernabeu if given any hint of encouragement.

AS says that while in training yesterday, England coach Sven Goran Eriksson joked with Lampard: "I see that next year you're going away to Real Madrid?"

Lampard replied: "It would appear so, yes!"
