Chelsea, Real Madrid target Mascherano: Italy for me

River Plate midfielder Javier Mascherano is ready to snub offers from England and Spain to move to the Serie A next season.

The Argentina international is on the wanted lists of Real Madrid, Deportivo La Coruna and Chelsea, but declared: "For now I only want to focus on River Plate, but to play in Italy is my objective."

"I know Italian football well and am aware that Juventus have been mentioned. They're one of the most important clubs in the world, but I know Inter Milan also are interested in me."
