Chelsea, Real Madrid rival Juventus for Ajax's Maxwell

Chelsea and Real Madrid have joined the race for Ajax winger Maxwell.

Italian giants Juventus remain favourites for the left-sided Brazilian, whose agent Mino Raiola enjoys a good relationship with their director general Luciano Moggi.

Raiola has confirmed Maxwell will leave Ajax at the end of this season and along with Juve has also received an enquiry from AS Roma.

However, its been suggested today that Chelsea and Real Madrid are also hot on the trail of Maxwell, who is likely to fetch a fee of around £6 million when he does leave his Dutch club in June.
