Chelsea, Real Madrid rival AC Milan for Gilardino

Parma are ready to hold talks with representatives from Chelsea and Real Madrid over the future of striker Alberto Gilardino.

While AC Milan remain favourites to land the Italy international in the summer, Chelsea and Real are also in the frame as Parma prepare to cash in on their young star in the summer.

With Hernan Crespo on his way to AC Milan, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich will have officials register his interest in Gilardino in the coming weeks. While Real GM Arrigo Sacchi also plans to return to his old club to ask for the youngster.
