Chelsea mega offer for Real Madrid's Roberto Carlos

Real Madrid superstar Roberto Carlos has held talks with Chelsea intermediaries over a sensational move to Stamford Bridge.
 
Blues owner Roman Abramovich sent one of his most trusted officials to Madrid three weeks ago to meet with the Brazilian's agent, Jorge Mendes, says AS.

Roberto Carlos has a mega offer on the table worth £8.5 million over two years - with the option of a third. Mendes has since informed Real of Chelsea's intention to bid for the Brazilian.

Abramovich has been chasing Roberto Carlos for three years, who still has two years left on his current Real deal.
