Chelsea make offer to Real Madrid's Morientes

Chelsea are believed to have made a bumper contract offer to Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes.

The Spanish international's agent, Gines Carvajal, told skysports.com: "I cannot give out any names, but there are three big European clubs interested in the player and they have made offers."

"One of those clubs has offered a five-year contract."
