Chelsea approach Real Madrid for striker Morientes

Chelsea have approached Real Madrid about striker Fernando Morientes.

It's reported that Morientes' agent, Gines Carvajal, has been made aware of Chelsea's offer by Real officials.

Real are desperate to get Morientes' salary off their wage-bill and are also in talks with Lyon and AS Roma about the Spanish international.
