Charlton plan to beat Real Madrid, Juventus for Sporting pair

Charlton Athletic boss Alan Curbishley is preparing a huge coup for the Addicks in the summer.

Curbishley is aiming to bring Sporting Lisbon youngsters Cristiano Ronaldo and Ricardo Quaresma to the Valley in the summer in a double deal which is sure to rock the continent.

The Portuguese pair are rated two of the hottest teenage talents in Europe and have Manchester United, Newcastle, Real Madrid and Juventus all chasing their signatures.

Charlton have a strong relationship with Portuguese football and Curbishley is hoping to take advantage of the club's reputation by bringing the pair to London in the summer.
