Team news and probable line-ups for Wednesday's Champions League matches in Group F:

OLYMPIQUE MARSEILLE v REAL MADRID

Russia striker Dmitri Sychev is doubtful for Marseille after picking up a hip injury in the Euro 2004 playoff against Wales.

Forward Steve Marlet has still not recovered from an ankle injury and defender Sebastien Perez has a sciatic nerve problem and is also doubtful.

The match marks the return of Real playmaker Zinedine Zidane to the city of his birth. The last time he played a club match in Marseille was for Girondins Bordeaux in the 1993/94 season.

With their place in the last 16 already assured, the pressure is off Real, who still have two games in which to secure top spot in the group.

They will have to do without centre back Francisco Pavon, who strained a leg muscle in the 2-1 victory over Albacete at the weekend. Spanish international Ivan Helguera is likely to drop back from midfield to partner Raul Bravo in the middle of the back four.

Brazilian fullback Roberto Carlos returns to the squad after recovering from a thigh strain sustained in the goalless draw against Partizan Belgrade three weeks ago, but coach Carlos Queiroz may prefer to leave him on the bench and keep Argentine international Santiago Solari on the left.

Portuguese winger Luis Figo had a minor injury scare when he twisted an ankle in training on Monday, but should be fit.

PORTO v PARTIZAN BELGRADE

Porto left-winger Cesar Peixoto is out for at least the rest of the year to recover from surgery on ligament damage in his left knee. Defender Nuno Valente is doubtful after a leg injury kept him out of a Portuguese Cup match at the weekend, with Mario Silva ready to step in for the UEFA Cup holders.

Partizan will be without Nigeria defender Taribo West, who will be sidelined for a month after knee surgery, while central defenders Branimir Bajic and Branko Savic face late fitness tests.

International full-back Miliovije Cirkovic is back from a long-term thigh injury and should be in the starting line up. Hard-working midfielder Alvert Nadj is struggling with a strained hamstring but team doctors expect him to recover by Wednesday evening.
